Confidence vs Arrogance

This is Friend,

Confidence v arrogance 1

She is a solid 9, beautiful and kind. This is her partner, who is also a 9,

Confidence v arrogance 2

She is a walking smoke show and a genuinely good person who treats everyone with respect. She smiles and laughs a lot. Last time we were out one of my male mates briefly spoke to her then approached me afterwards,

And indeed she didn't. When I told her what happened she threw up a little in her mouth then swallowed it back down.

I feel I must be honest here - who the fuck did this guy think he was? I have Unfriended him even though he was more a vague acquaintance than a friend and I don't have Facebook anyway.

Men - I know every dating bible out there tells you that personality is the only thing that matters and confidence is king. And that is indeed true. But there is a big, BIG difference between confidence and arrogance.

Confidence means being secure in who you are. It means standing with your shoulders straight, a smile on your face, the capacity and willingness to laugh at yourself and your flaws, trusting in your abilities, trusting that your future is bright. It’s about strength of character, caring about stuff and speaking about it in a considerate, respectful way. The Insecurio is the one who starts the fight club. The Confident Guy is the one who walks away. Confident people are calm. And they are humble.

Arrogance is just an insecure person putting up a rice-paper-roll-thin veil over his (or her) social anxieties. And insulting people like Friend is not going to help.

So men - stop being such arrogant dicks. This is what Confident Guy would have done in the same situation,

Peace.
